Probably the most popular Canadian Brass concert opening number, Just a Closer Walk with Thee retains the famous, slow, New Orleans-style introduction. In true Canadian Brass style, this one really lets loose for some great Dixie fun that's within the playing abilities of most grade 3 bands. Included are short written solos for clarinet, trumpet and trombone.

Lady GaGa is coming into her own as a pop superstar with catchy melodies and great dance beats. Auxiliary groups and dance teams will have a blast with this one!

Recorded by the popular vocal group Point of Grace, here is an uplifting song that adapts perfectly for concert band. John Wasson's arrangement is effectively scored in a light rock style.

MusicWorks - Grade 3 Drawing its title from the Greek word for motion, this marvelously paced work from Michael Sweeney explores various forms of motion within the concert band setting. The fanfare-like opening uses interplay between the brass, percussion and woodwinds and is followed by a driving main theme. The slow motion middle section uses a striking harmonic scheme stated first by the woodwinds and some unusual orchestration devices, before returning to an expanded version of the main theme and dramatic ending. This rewarding and fresh-sounding composition will leave a lasting impression on players and listeners alike. (5:50)
