This spirited new overture from John Higgins presents a wealth of musicality at an easy level. Written in traditional A-B-A overture format, the powerful opening theme is played first by the trumpets then later developed by the full band. A lyrical slow section featuring the woodwinds contrasts nicely before returning to the exciting fast section.

This beloved contemporary Jewish song, whick translates as 'Next Year', is most appropriate for holiday concerts or throughout the year. The melody is simple and elegant and Lloyd Conley's arrangement depicts the feeling of hope that comes from the inspirational lyrics.
