Provocative modal shifts and fresh melodic excursions take us to another land. The brooding minor key opening leads by stages to a big uplifting finish. There is also lots of contrast built into the orchestration, making Latin Journey a special treat for band and audience alike. Cross-cultural lessons are a natural fit with this one! Majestic and full of bold fanfares, the music stands tall in praise of life! Exciting dynamic effects and lots of melodic, contrapuntal and harmonic contrasts make this a powerful educational tool as well as a great concert or contest performance experience. Triumphant!

The exciting and the mysterious combine in unforeseen ways as we traverse the enigma of Colorado's Phantom Canyon. A provocative and unusual kind of music for the younger band to explore, your musicians will find this new composition to be compelling and satisfying to play. There is also lots of potential for working with the history and geography departments with this one.
