Three-part flexible compositions for any combination of brass, woodwinds and strings with optional percussion.

Commissioned by the Roanoke Rapids Band Boosters and dedicated to the Roanoke Rapids High School, Roanoke Rapids, North Carolina, David L. Hawks, Director. The composition begins with the solo tuba stating the four notes (F, Bb, G, C) on which the entire piece is based. All other themes, and much of the harmony, are built on these four notes and their permutations. There are four main sections, with a brief cadenza before the last movement.

Carefully graded solos from very easy up to early intermediate levels. Includes professionally recorded demonstration/accompaniment CD that allows players to practice and perform with a live piano player. Features 12 outstanding solos by many of today's finest composers, including James Curnow, Craig Alan, Mike Hannickel, Timothy Johnson and Ann Lindsay.
