Premiered by his own Carmel (IN) High School Band at the 2006 Midwest Clinic in Chicago, Richard Saucedo's stunningly beautiful hymn is a tribute to his alma mater (Indiana University) and dedicated to his former band director, Ray Cramer. Opening and closing with a haunting and chant-like flugelhorn solo, this work features rich harmonies, creative use of mixed meters, and chorale-like textures all combined in a marvelously effect setting.
